Hi there !
Main Sauvage is a young French brand of soft toys and soft accessories for kids, inspired by odd and unexpected things of everyday life. Our creations are the result of an eco-friendly production that supports small-scale production and helps to preserve traditional skills.
Both of us, Cécile and Julien, both young architects have launched Main Sauvage this great poetic, demanding and exciting adventure! Our brand was founded in 2015 in Lille, France, from our common desire of developing projects not only for grown-ups but also and mainly for kids. Our work has been featured in publications and blogs such as Doolittle, Kids Magazine, Little, Petit & Small, We are Scout, Bloesem Kids and many others.
Partners: Cécile Pinoteau and Julien Gippet
Regular collaborators: Maria Angela Fernandez, Thomas Tortelier
How are our products made ?
Wherever they are in the world, we make sure that our goods are made by passionate and imaginative manufacturers sharing our ideals and who are not afraid to get off the beaten track.
OUR SOFT TOYS: All our soft toys are knitted and stuffed by hand in a Bolivian Fair Trade Cooperative. They are made from finest baby alpaca wool that makes them extra soft and cosy. Yarns come from a local company that support alpaca breeders living in the Bolivian highlands. The wide range of natural shades that alpaca provides, allows us to imagine products without dyes. However, the coloured yarns we use are dyed using eco-friendly dyes which are approved for toys manufacture. Our soft toys are specifically designed in compliance with the European safety standards. Each design is tested by an external service provider and has a “CE” certificate of compliance.
OUR ART PRINTS: All our art prints are made in France using water and vegetable oil based inks. Our papers are FSC® certified.
Our charitable commitment
It happens that some of our soft toys have slight imperfections that makes them unsuitable for selling. They are not ugly or neither dangerous, just a bit different, and want to be loved. We put them aside for the benefit of the Secours Populaire Français charitable organization which provides material and moral support to the families that suffer of poverty, social exclusion, wars, natural disasters in France or abroad. The Secours Populaire Français has a general approach of the problems of poverty. We are proud to contribute, at our level, to the stimulation and play for kids who are victims of those terrible plagues.
